1. What is Sunnyvale Moose all about?

Sunnyvale Moose is a chapter of Moose International, a philanthropic service organization that through supporting social events of its members donates money to support young people.

For Guests

Non-members may only attend events as a guest of a current member. Access to the building is by member access card only and all guests must be accompanied and signed in at the door by their host member.

For Members

1. What if I need help?

If you get lost on the website or don't know what to do....
  1. Don't Panic.
  2. First, click on the logo in the upper left corner of any website page. This will bring you to your "home page" with a concise summary of links to the (few) most likely things you will need to be concerned about.
  3. Most web pages have a (tiny) line at the top of the page with a link to an Overview to give some perspective of what that part of the website does and how to use it.
  4. In any form that has two columns with the field attributes in the left (colored background) column and places to enter information in the right column, each attribute name in the left column is a link to a help function that will provide more information on what that attribute means and reasonable ranges to add for a value for it. The links usually provide hints if you merely hover your mouse over them.
  5. You can fill out the feedback form to provide feedback or to ask specific questions. We will work hard to place answers to your questions that might have broader usage in our frequently asked questions.

2. How do I sign up to be a bartender?

Being a bartender is a great way to meet people, help the social quarters earn money for our charities, and have fun. If you want to be among the group of members who are qualified to be a bartender. You must complete a state of California certification for being a Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) and complete the Moose Corporate training for 2-HOTT.

California RBS

  1. Get ABC ID: Pay $3 to California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to register for your official server number.
  2. Pay for Training Course: Pay $13 to $17 (depending on whether you get the optional reference manual) to Seller Server Online to purchase your online training course.
  3. Complete the training course. Complete your online CERTUS hosted Responsibile Beverage Service training course. Upon completion, you will receive a Certification of Completion which is NOT your certification to be a registered RBS. The training group (CERTUS) will send notification to ABC of your completion which starts the 90 day clock for you to complete your ABC exam to get your certification.
  4. Take The Exam: Within 90 days of the completion of your training, return to the ABC Portal and take the exam.

Moose Training

  1. Listen to Moose International Social Quarters Training ( Youtube training video )
